Sutter Collection | 2022
Designed and built for a long-time client and interior designer in San Francisco, this collection of blackened pieces, which includes a shoe rack and a set of three floating shelves, was made for her modern space.
The strict color palette required some experimentation with wood finish on my part, finding something durable, practical, and aesthetically pleasing was a little tricky. The wood surfaces are solid white oak blackened with Rubio Pre-Color “Intense Black” and finished with Rubio Monocoat “Pure,” and the steel is finished with Sculpt Nouveau Black Magic.
