Floating Nightstands | 2021
The original inspiration for this design came from Finn Juhl’s concept of separating the carried from the carrying elements. By using spacers and shapes seen mid-century furniture, the cabinet appears to float within the frame, providing a sense of visual lightness.
The piece features the beauty of solid walnut, with grain wrapping around the cabinet thanks to mitered corners. The drawer front is uninterrupted by hardware, allowing for a clean, modern aesthetic.
