Development of the conference room at DBA_OAK, David Baker Architect’s Oakland office, included the design and fabrication of a custom storefront (complete with adjustable shelving and a repurposed, floating cabinet) and four shoji doors by DBA_Workshop. Both pieces of scope utilize 1/4” steel plate frames and reed glass, the shoji doors feature reclaimed Oakland Hills redwood, originally salvaged from an 1800s-era water-tank in Saranap, CA.
